Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for KEK ash dump remediation project

The World Bank intends to support the proposed Healing Land for the Future (Healand) project in Kosovo to finance investments for (a) technical assistance activities for Policy, Institution and Capacity Development for Contaminated Land Management, and (b) investments in demonstrations of contaminated land cleanup and redevelopment KEK envisages the remediation and regeneration of the 100 ha site, which is comprised of an infilled mine area and an over burden dump site, to create an urban park linking municipalities of Obiliq, Fush Kosova and Pristina. The study within this ToR focuses on this 100 ha intended for the creation of the park.
